About Me
Marianne Cardillo
Licensed Marriage and Family TherapistHi Everyone!
Thank you so much for your interest in my site, and the possibility of taking a chance with me along your journey. I have been practicing in the Connecticut/New York area at a variety of sites since my graduation from Fairfield University’s accredited Marriage and Family Therapy program. My passion for helping others really did start at a young age, but as I went through life, I was led down many different roads. I experienced confusion and struggles at times, facing challenges that I thought I could not overcome. However, through some of the most difficult times is where I had grown the most, and helped me back down the path that was right for me- following my passion to help those around me. I value the many trainings and education I have gotten that have allowed me be able to support others as an LMFT, but truly know my life experiences have been just as important. These experiences allow me to listen, to have empathy and understanding, and to really feel and know what it’s like when someone feels alone, lost, or unsure of how things will get better. It’s been a true pleasure to be able to sit alongside clients as they uncover their truth and understand themselves more, and recognize their ability to move forward in ways they did not think were possible.
My various education experiences have come from my Marriage and Family Therapy graduate degree through Fairfield University, many trainings, and working in placements such intensive outpatient centers, in-home settings, schools, clinics, and group practices. My work and educational experience have introduced me to so many special people of all ages and demographics, each client impacting me and teaching me as much as I hope I did for them! My work has led me to help those struggling with their mental health, transitions, trauma and grief, and those experiencing or caring for someone with physical health issues.
In my spare time, I love cooking– Most foods and new restaurants excite me! I also love hosting others when I can. Warmer months are my favorite and I will find any excuse to be outdoors when possible, especially by a beach! I love to decorate, travel, explore new things, exercise, and most of all binge watch a really good show (I refuse to watch anything else until I’ve completed a series!) Podcast recommendations are also always welcome!
Thank you so much for reading my story, and I hope my sharing will help you feel confident to take the whatever steps you need for yourself and your journey!
